Empowering Small-Scale Tea Farmers with
Dallaka Mahima
At Muswenna Tea Factory, we believe in more than just producing high-quality tea. We are deeply committed to supporting the hardworking small-scale tea growers in our community. While these farmers demonstrate exceptional dedication, many lacked the necessary knowledge of modern tea-growing practices and effective farm management.
To address this, we launched “Dallaka Mahima”, a non-profit initiative aimed at educating and empowering these farmers. Through this program, we provide comprehensive training on the best tea cultivation techniques, including:
-
Soil testing
-
Proper planting methods
-
Efficient fertilizing practices
-
Maintaining tea bushes
-
Effective plucking techniques
Strengthening Communities
Dallaka Mahima has not only improved the quality of tea production but has also strengthened the bond between Muswenna Tea Factory and its green leaf suppliers. Today, over 800 farmers are part of our factory community, many of whom have successfully elevated themselves out of poverty through improved tea-growing practices.
This project remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting food safety, protecting public health, and ensuring that consumers receive the finest, safest tea. By investing in the growth and knowledge of our farmers, we are helping to enhance their livelihoods and contribute to a brighter future for rural communities.
